We sat down with Kishore Kosaraju, Vice President of Engineering of TEKhops LLC. TEKhops was formed to provide better service and greater value through client partnerships. All right, let’s get straight to it! Can you tell us a little bit about TEKhops and what you guys do?

In short: the democratization of access and giving people opportunities. The folks in our performance centers have a challenging job. My life at TEKhops started there — the CEO was packing boxes at the start, too. Many people are counting on us to make the right decisions to ensure that we do well, so they can put food on the table; all of this inspired the company’s inception.

It seems like a great culture at Tekhops! What were the most significant challenges your team faced when starting?

The biggest struggle for most would-be entrepreneurs is taking that first leap. It may be quitting a job, putting up a website, entering a startup accelerator program, approaching someone with your first pitch, or just announcing your venture to the world and family and committing the dollars and credit you have. In short, the time it takes for results to show up.

Fascinating. Do you feel there are fundamental differences between different generations using TEKhops’ services?

So it seems like diversified operations are essential. What would you say was the most memorable experience in the entire process?

Being around passionate people. They are always contagious for me, and they get my juices going. And they come from all walks of life, not just famous artists or musicians.

I know exactly what you mean! I find that when I am around people who are passionate about something, it’s impossible not to get caught up in their energy. What strategies do you use to overcome stress and the inevitable roadblocks to moving forward?

I’m inspired by the possibility of change and how to seize that. I believe those things start with proving something is possible, telling the right people about it, and then picking up the torch and carrying on from there. The right way to think about it is to plant the seeds of what is possible and enable many people to go after it.

I love it! What inspires you, and who has been your greatest source of inspiration?

I am inspired by the fact that every day is a new day. I think there is an opportunity every day, especially when building a business. You never know what will come, and I get really excited when I wake up.

I think what inspires me the most are our customers. I set aside time to read customer chats; reading the positive comments, of course, is awesome, but I also get a lot of value from the things we can improve on. I read those conversations and get inspired to do things better, change things and develop products based on that feedback. That inspires me every day.

You are going above and beyond! What are your greatest fears moving forward? What gives you hope?

The fact that change is possible. If we look back at what’s been achieved in the face of incredible odds, it’s amazing. The fact that our forefathers were able to get rid of a well-entrenched dictatorship that had an entire continent for a few thousand years and then established something new on a concept of mutual checks and balances and understanding of human nature. It set an overwhelming precedent. Compared to that, whatever problems I face seem incredibly solvable.

What advice would you give to a new entrepreneur?

Make change and empower people. I’m a big believer in the power of one — that one person, one action, can have a ripple effect that can make a difference.
