Three Arrested in Connection with West LA Armed Robbery Attempt
Three men have been apprehended for a violent attempted armed robbery that occurred in an upscale West Los Angeles neighborhood on September 13. The incident left one victim critically injured and one suspect dead.
The victim, identified as Aguilar, was shot in the head during the confrontation and remains in critical condition at a local hospital. According to reports, Aguilar and his wife were approached by at least four suspects who demanded property before opening fire and fleeing in a getaway vehicle.
During the robbery attempt, one of the suspects, Mario Melara, was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries. On October 10, law enforcement officials arrested three additional suspects in Northern California: Jason Melara, Daymonee Johnson, and Mahki Taylor.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed multiple felony charges against the arrested individuals on October 15. These charges include murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon.
