OpenAI, the artificial intelligence research laboratory co-founded by Elon Musk, has announced that it is investing in a Norwegian robotics company called 1X. This marks OpenAI’s return to the robotics field after years of shutting down its division. With this investment, OpenAI will be able to develop humanoid robots with advanced capabilities and use them for various tasks, such as search and rescue operations or medical assistance.
The goal of this project is to create robots that can interact with humans on an emotional level while also being able to perform complex tasks autonomously without any human intervention. The team at OpenAI believes that these robots could have a huge impact on society by replacing some jobs that are currently done manually or require high levels of skill and precision like surgery or construction work.
Open AI’s venture into robotic technology shows great potential for innovation in many different industries around the world as well as providing new job opportunities for people who may not have had access before due to a lack of skillsets required for certain roles previously filled by humans only. It remains unclear when exactly we will see these humanoid robots out there but one thing is sure: they are coming soon!
