Superhuman Launches Availability-Sharing Feature, Enhancing Calendar Integration
Superhuman, the popular email management platform, has unveiled a new availability-sharing feature for its built-in calendar, aiming to streamline the often cumbersome process of scheduling meetings. This latest addition allows users to effortlessly share their free time slots, potentially reducing the average number of emails required to arrange a meeting.
CEO Rahul Vohra hinted at further expansions to Superhuman’s calendar functionalities, suggesting the possibility of a standalone calendar app in the future. While availability sharing is not a novel concept in the productivity tool landscape, with competitors like Calendly, Cal.com, Vimcal, Notion Calendar, and Clockwise offering similar features, Superhuman’s integration within its email platform sets it apart.
The new feature enables users to share their availability through an icon or keyboard shortcut. Users can drag and select time slots to share in an email reply, and recipients can book a time through a shared link. The tool also includes team member availability for coordinating group meetings.
This release follows Superhuman’s recent introduction of Instant Event, an AI-powered scheduling assistant. The company has plans to further enhance its offerings with automatic scheduling and meeting briefing dossiers. Additionally, Superhuman is exploring the integration of email conversation links within calendar views.
Vohra emphasized the benefits of both separate and integrated calendar applications, noting that Outlook users particularly appreciate integrated features due to existing calendar functionalities. As Superhuman continues to evolve its product, the company remains focused on optimizing user experience and productivity in email and calendar management.
