Shirley Ballas, the head judge on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, has recently addressed her future with the show after a “truly awful” season of trolling. In an interview with The Sun newspaper, she said that while she loves being part of such a popular and beloved series, it was difficult to endure last year’s online abuse.
Ballas went on to say that although she is not ruling out leaving the show completely in future seasons if things don’t improve for her personally or professionally, right now all options are open. She also expressed gratitude towards those who have come forward in support of her throughout this time and encouraged others to do so as well.
The veteran ballroom dancer concluded by saying that regardless of what happens next for her career-wise – whether it be staying with Strictly or moving onto something else – one thing is certain: dancing will always remain an important part of life for both herself and everyone involved in the industry around here..
