Shine Talent Group Expands Influencer Roster with Spark Talent Group Acquisition
Shine Talent Group, a leading influencer management firm, has announced its acquisition of Spark Talent Group, a global digital creator management company established in 2020. This strategic move enhances Shine’s influencer talent roster and solidifies its position in the rapidly evolving creator economy.
The acquisition brings several beauty and lifestyle creators under Shine’s management, with exclusive contracts being signed with notable influencers such as Monica Rubi (101,000 Instagram followers), Caroline Patterson (191,000 TikTok followers), and Bailey Valente (415,000 TikTok followers).
Emily Ward, cofounder of Shine Talent Group, stated that US growth remains the firm’s top priority for the year. This acquisition marks Shine’s second such move, following its 2020 purchase of Toronto-based Fourth Floor Management.
As part of the deal, Spark Talent Group founder Summer Lee will be stepping down as CEO to pursue opportunities outside the talent management industry.
The creator economy continues to attract significant attention from investors and larger companies. Talent management firms, influencer marketing startups, and podcasting companies have become prime targets for mergers and acquisitions. Recent notable transactions in the industry include Wasserman’s acquisition of Long Haul, Whalar Group’s purchase of Sixteenth, and Publicis Groupe’s high-profile $500 million acquisition of Influential.
Shine Talent Group currently represents over 250 influencers, including Sarah Nicole Landry (2.5 million Instagram followers), Alicia McCarvell (1.3 million followers), and Lydia Okello (61,000 followers).
While financial terms of the Shine and Spark deal were not disclosed, this acquisition underscores the ongoing consolidation and growth within the influencer marketing landscape.
