Rivian, the electric vehicle manufacturer, has partnered with iKamper to launch a new rooftop tent specifically designed for the R1T electric truck. The collaboration brings a modified version of iKamper’s popular Skycamp 3.0 Mini pop-out tent to Rivian’s flagship vehicle.
The Skycamp Mini Tent, priced at $4,595, is engineered to seamlessly integrate with the R1T’s design. It stows in a hardshell case that fits over Rivian’s bed rack and pops out to the side of the truck, complete with an accessible ladder. This innovative design minimizes the impact on the R1T’s aerodynamics while preserving valuable truck bed space, a notable advantage over competitors like Tesla’s CyberTent.
Rivian owners will appreciate the tent’s compatibility with the company’s fold-and-stow cooktop system, which includes two induction burners usable on the tailgate. This integration enhances the overall camping experience for R1T users.
The tent’s design incorporates Rivian’s signature yellow color scheme, reinforcing brand consistency. Security features include locking crossbar brackets compatible with Rivian’s Adventure Key set, ensuring peace of mind for owners. A deluxe self-inflating mattress is also included, adding comfort to the outdoor adventure.
Interested buyers can order the Skycamp Mini Tent directly from iKamper’s website. Shipping costs are set at $199 for the contiguous United States, with higher rates of $800 for Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and some parts of Alaska.
