NetherRealm Studios have recently revealed that they’ve spent more time developing the first Mortal Kombat game than any other in the series. Ed Boon, Creative Director at NetherRealm, has said that this extra effort is going to show when players get their hands on it.
Mortal Kombat 1 was released in 1992 and quickly became a hit with gamers all over the world due to its unique fighting system and characters. It spawned several sequels, which added new features, such as fatalities and special moves, but many fans still consider the original to be one of the best games in the franchise.
The team at NetherRealm is now putting all of their efforts into making sure that Mortal Kombat 1 lives up to expectations when it’s re-released later this year. They’re adding new graphics, gameplay mechanics, and even some brand-new content for fans who missed out on playing it back in 1992 or never got around to trying out any of its sequels afterward.
Boon has promised that these changes will make sure everyone gets an authentic experience no matter what version they play; whether old or new school gamers alike can enjoy everything Mortal Kombat has always been known for intense action-packed battles!
