NASA’s Hubble Telescope Saved by Inventive Idea

The idea is to attach a robotic arm to the telescope and use its own thrusters for propulsion. They believe that their combined expertise can help NASA extend Hubble’s life by at least five years—and maybe even longer if they’re successful in developing new technologies for long-term maintenance of spacecraft in low Earth orbit.
