Khloe Kardashian recently opened up about her struggles with body image and weight during her divorce from Lamar Odom. In an interview with InStyle, the reality star said she became “obsessive” over her weight when she turned to the gym as a way of coping.
Kardashian explained that it was not only physical health that motivated her to exercise but also emotional well-being: “I needed something in my life where I felt like I had control… It was more of a mental thing for me — like if I can just get myself together on the outside then maybe things will be better on the inside.” She went on to say that at first, she cared too much about what numbers were showing up on the scale and would obsessively weigh herself multiple times per day.
However, after some time passed and Khloe began feeling more confident in herself again, she realized how important it is to focus less on external appearances and instead find joy within yourself no matter what your size may be: “It’s really hard because you want results right away… But once you start seeing progress it becomes addicting in such an amazing way… You have to learn how to love yourself through every stage.”.
