We sat down with Daniah Badrani, Founder and CFO of Su Company. Su Company takes an innovative approach to helping young children deal with the importance of staying hydrated in a fun and engaging way.
Daniah Badrani, thank you so much for joining us today. Can you tell us a little bit about Su Company?
Thank you for having me on! Su Company is a water company specialized for children. It aims to solve the problem of their reluctance to drink water by linking it to technology in the form of a programming game.
The gamification of drinking water? I need to know more! What inspired you to start Su Company?
The burning desire to succeed and the burning desire to make an impact and help solve a problem in communities.
I’d say you’ve found a unique solution to that problem. Do you have any plans to extend to other countries or markets?
Absolutely, yes! From here, I’m calling out any investors/ companies from all over the world to contact me who would be interested in taking this project to a global scale.
It definitely has scalable potential! What would you say was the most memorable experience in the entire process?
The most memorable part for me is developing and implementing a successful financial plan to meet the investors’ faith in you as a “CFO,” which makes the responsibility more on your shoulders.
That must have been both stressful and exciting. Who has been your greatest source of inspiration?
My father! He is my role model and number one supporter, he works as brigadier general “leader” in the Air Force, and I’m trying my best to be as great as he is.
It looks like it’s clear where you get your leadership traits from! What are your greatest fears moving forward with this project, particularly in regards to scaling it up?
The competition and the capital, as the project requires huge capital, in compliance with the quality standards of my company.
Yes, consistency is vital for scaling up production. How have the recent economic events affected your business? What have you done to adapt?
Corona! The company was created by only four women -at the beginning of 2020-we were trying to add more qualified members to our team so we could work meticulously on the company’s structure and the operational plans for all departments. Still, we couldn’t due to the pandemic and the lockdown. This challenge has become our strength as we managed to create the company and won second place at PepsiCo competition too.
It seems like you all have overcome those hurdles effortlessly! Which aspect of the project are you most proud of and why?
The water bottle design; as we combined four features and four ideas in one product.
I do love the design! What advice would you give to a new entrepreneur starting out in the game?
First, choose your team wisely. Secondly, commitment is the key to success.
Fantastic advice! Daniah, thank you so much for your time. Where can readers learn more about you and Su Company?
The pleasure is all mine! You can reach out to us via email at [email protected].
