Microsoft Confirms PS5 Release for Indiana Jones Game
In a surprising move, Microsoft and Bethesda have officially announced that “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” will be coming to PlayStation 5 following its initial Xbox release. The highly anticipated game is set to debut on Xbox and PC on December 9th, 2024, with a PS5 launch targeted for spring 2025.
This confirmation comes after an exclusive report by The Verge, which revealed Microsoft’s consideration of a PS5 release for the game. The decision marks a significant shift in Microsoft’s platform strategy, allowing Bethesda’s Indiana Jones title to have a brief period of exclusivity on Xbox and PC before expanding to Sony’s console.
The PS5 version is slated for an April 2025 release, though this date may be subject to change based on development schedules. This move is part of a broader initiative known as Project Latitude, which aims to bring select Xbox games to multiple platforms.
Project Latitude has already seen the release of previously Xbox-exclusive titles such as “Hi-Fi Rush,” “Pentiment,” “Sea of Thieves,” and “Grounded” on PS5. Additionally, “Doom: The Dark Ages” is also scheduled for a PS5 release in 2025.
This multiplatform approach represents a notable change in Microsoft’s gaming strategy, potentially signaling a more inclusive direction for future Xbox Game Studios titles. As the gaming industry continues to evolve, players can look forward to experiencing “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” across multiple platforms in the coming years.
