We sat down with Vandy Alexander, founder, and CEO of Elegant Fashionover, a fashion and retail clothing company. Elegant Fashionover specializes in selling quality designer clothes and their own brand for kids, women, and men at the lowest price around, allowing their customers to save money without sacrificing quality.

Alright, let’s get straight to it! Tell us a little bit about Elegant Fashionover.
We are a fashion clothing company that strives to help our customers save money and time in one stop. We have our own brand as well as others with excellent quality and styles.
Fascinating! What inspired you to start your company?
My business partner/ partner is my motivation, and he is the number one reason I have gotten the chance to make it this far. Outside of that, my love for clothes is what keeps me here.
Passion always drives true inspiration! What were the most significant challenges you’ve faced when starting?
Finding a good and reliable vendor and a good space to put my product was the most challenging part in starting my business.
That sounds like it was brutal! What did you do to find good vendors and a good space? Do you feel there are fundamental differences between different generations when using your product?
I don’t believe there is a difference in generations regarding my clothing. It is for all generations of all sizes and shapes.
That is an excellent point, as fashion can be timeless. How do you differentiate yourself from competitors with Elegant Fashionover?
I make it worth the money my customers spend for a much lower price and the same if not better quality as my competitors.
I will have to try some pieces out for myself! Do you have any plans to extend to other countries or markets?
Yes, I have already taken a step up from a swap meet to a location inside the boulevard mall in Las Vegas.
Congrats on that milestone! What would you say was the most memorable experience in the entire process?
Seeing the smiles on my customer’s faces and hearing the appreciation for my low prices will be in my heart forever.
I am so glad that you have been able to bring happiness to your customers through your work. It is truly inspiring. What strategies do you use to overcome stress and the inevitable roadblocks for moving forward?
Well, I can say that I am more than blessed this far because I have not experienced any struggles or stresses that would hinder me from moving forward.
It sounds like you have been lucky so far! Which target market would be ideal for your product?
Retail sales because that is where selling clothes, so anyone that loves clothes will love my store.
You can’t go wrong with brick and mortar. What has the overall feedback been from customers and vendors regarding your products?
My customers and vendor love what I have and the style I bring to all generations.
Amazing! Who has been your greatest source of inspiration?
My better half is my motivation and inspiration. He believes in me more than anyone, and he sees my vision and where I’m trying to go with it.
It seems like he has been your rock throughout the process. What were your greatest fears when starting up?
My fears were just coming out. Just to say, I’m starting my own business and wondering who would believe in me and support me other than my spouse.
It can be challenging to start your own business, but it is enriching. I’m sure your spouse is very supportive of you. How have the recent economic events affected your business? What have you done to adapt?
That’s to my higher power. I did not experience any effects in my business. I was and am able to operate without losing money.
