New M4 MacBook Air Hits Shelves with Immediate Discounts
Apple’s latest M4-powered MacBook Air, released on March 12, is already available at discounted prices. The 13-inch entry-level model, featuring 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, can be purchased for $949 at Amazon and Best Buy for members. Similarly, the 15-inch base model with identical specifications is priced at $1,049 through the same retailers.
The new MacBook Air offers significant value even at its full price point, boasting improvements over its predecessor in both cost-effectiveness and capabilities. At the heart of these enhancements is Apple’s latest M4 chip, promising faster performance across various tasks.
One notable upgrade is the base RAM, which has doubled to 16GB compared to previous models. The device also incorporates a 12MP Center Stage webcam, a feature previously exclusive to the MacBook Pro line. Additionally, users can now connect to two external monitors with the laptop’s lid open, expanding productivity options.
Apple has maintained the MacBook Air’s signature thin and sleek design while introducing a new skylight blue color option. The laptop continues to offer all-day battery life and now supports Wi-Fi 6E for improved connectivity.
While both the 13-inch and 15-inch models share most features, the larger variant boasts a six-speaker system compared to the four-speaker setup in its smaller counterpart. Beyond this and the obvious display size difference, the two models are largely similar in specifications and capabilities.
With its combination of enhanced performance, increased base memory, and competitive pricing, the new M4 MacBook Air appears poised to attract both new and upgrading users in the ultraportable laptop market.
