Comedian and musician Fred Armisen is set to embark on a nationwide tour titled “Comedy for Musicians But Everyone is Welcome.” The tour, which combines Armisen’s talents in both comedy and music, is scheduled to kick off on March 26, 2025, in Texas and conclude in Florida in April.
Armisen, known for co-creating the hit comedy series “Portlandia” and his tenure as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” from 2002 to 2013, has recently wrapped up his role as bandleader of the 8G Band on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” He also garnered attention for his portrayal of Uncle Fester in Netflix’s “Wednesday.”
The tour will span multiple cities across the United States, with additional performances scheduled at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Canada during August and September. While original tickets for the US shows have sold out on Ticketmaster, fans can still secure seats through resale platforms such as StubHub and Vivid Seats.
Resale ticket prices vary widely, with StubHub offering options ranging from $38 to $679, and Vivid Seats presenting similar pricing between $42 and $217. The average ticket price falls between $50 and $150, comparable to the original ticket prices of $50 to $70.
As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding opening acts for the tour, though guest performers may make appearances during Armisen’s shows. Apart from the Canadian comedy festival dates, no other international performances have been announced.
This unique tour promises to blend Armisen’s comedic prowess with his musical talents, offering an entertaining experience for both music enthusiasts and comedy fans alike.
