Futuristic Florals Flourish at FAST 2023 Runway Show

Fashion and Student Trends at UCLA (FAST) held its spring showcase Friday night, featuring 90 runway models in 15 student-designed collections. The event was held at Pauley Pavilion, transforming the courtside into a couture runway. From florals to futurism, FAST 2023 presented an array of styles that showcased the creativity of UCLA’s fashion students.

The show featured both menswear and womenswear designs from various student designers as well as upcycled pieces from sustainable brands, such as Reformation and Patagonia. Each collection was unique in its way; some were inspired by classic silhouettes while others embraced bold colors or textures for a more modern look. One designer even incorporated elements of traditional Chinese culture into her garments to create something truly special for the audience to enjoy!
