Doja Cat Shares Insight into Her ADHD and How It Influences Album Titles

At the Patrón El Cielo launch party on Wednesday, Doja Cat opened up to Insider about her upcoming album and tour plans. When asked why she keeps changing the title of her new album, Doja Cat explained that it is because she wants to put her ADHD on display. She said that due to having ADHD, it can be difficult for her to focus on one thing for too long and so this has been reflected in the changes with regards to the title of her new album.

Doja also spoke about how there will be a darker aesthetic throughout this project compared with previous ones. She mentioned that being able to express herself through music has allowed her to explore different avenues, which have resulted in a more mature sound than what people may expect from an artist like herself.

The singer-songwriter went on to say that although touring isn’t currently possible due to COVID-19 restrictions, when it is safe enough again she hopes fans will get an opportunity to see some of these songs performed live as part of a world tour – something which many are eagerly awaiting!
