Ken Potts, one of the last two survivors of the USS Arizona, passed away at 102 years old. He was born in 1918 and served as a crane operator shuttling supplies to Arizona on December 7th, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
Potts’ service during World War II earned him several awards, including an American Defense Service Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze stars. After his time in service, he returned home to California where he worked for many years before retiring from his job as a machinist at Lockheed Martin in 1982.
