DeAmber, thanks for joining us today! Can you tell us a little about DC Virtual and what you and your team do?
Thank you! DC Virtual Services is a Virtual Assisting and Outsourcing Company in Tennessee. We have been in business since 2016, which we provide services in the areas of Office Administration, Insurance, Career Services, and E-Commerce. We operate in a total of 11 countries with the goal of creating a global virtual economy.
Fascinating! I know globalization is making us look at things in different ways. What would you say was the greatest challenge when starting DC Virtual Services?
The greatest challenge starting my business was not being patient enough to work behind the scenes and create a plan that will work. When you create an online business, you must still produce a plan of action to be effective in the customer’s journey to your product. Just posting online without a plan is not enough to build a brand. Sticking to a plan and executing it at the right time is very important to bring longevity.
Great advice and I am glad you overcame that! So, how do you guys differentiate from competitors? What makes DCVS unique in this space?
What makes DCVS different from any virtual assisting company is the wide array of resources as a “Platform,” including non-traditional services, such as Holistic Healing. There is no platform that will allow you to get Virtual Assisting for your business while booking a Tarot Reading for your personal leisure. The key to DC Virtual Services is bringing work and life balance.
That is certainly a novel experience, and I can honestly say it has me intrigued! How do you deal with the day-to-day stresses of running a company, including all the hurdles and roadblocks?
Prayer, Meditation, and Reiki are the main strategies in creating harmony in a sometimes stressful life. When there are roadblocks, you must practice wisdom. What I mean by practicing wisdom is seeking guidance bigger than yourself. When you seek higher guidance, the answers will come in a variety of ways. It takes first displaying humility, then working through the challenges.
Truly inspiring! And who would you say is your greatest source of inspiration in life, work, and all of the above?
The person that has been my greatest source of inspiration would be my Grandmother, Mittie P. Reed. I would watch her work as an Administrative Assistant, which she also helped with the administrative work at her church. She started teaching me about computers at the age of ten, which developed into a skill later down the line. Around 2007, my Grandmother started working from home for companies in a call center environment. She also helps others get started with a process that allows them to make a living today. My Grandmother was one of the first people to take part in working at home. With her passing in 2009, I wanted to create something in her remembrance while creating generational wealth and a legacy. I believe that if she were here today, this would be something that she would take part in.
Very touching, and I can see she brought a lot of her wisdom on to you! Thank you so much, DeAmber, for your time and for letting our readers catch a glimpse into DC Virtual Services. Where can they learn more? I am sure some readers would want to take part in the virtual tarot card reading!
It was my pleasure! You can learn more about DCVS on our websites at partnershipwithdc.com and dcinnovateprograms.net
