NASA Rover Captures Stunning Sunset on Mars

NASA’s Curiosity rover has captured an amazing view of a sunset on Mars. As part of a cloud survey, the rover took pictures of crepuscular rays from the Martian horizon for the first time. The images were particularly beautiful and evoked feelings of awe in viewers.

The crepuscular rays are beams that appear to radiate outward from one point near or at the sun when it is close to setting or rising, creating stunning visuals with shadows and light patterns against clouds and other objects in its path. This phenomenon was seen by NASA’s Curiosity Rover as it surveyed Mars’ skies during dusk hours on July 19th, 2020, providing us with our first glimpse into what a sunset looks like on another planet!
